Living in Brussels:

Brussels is known as the "Capital of Europe", and for those who are beginning a new job here, the prospect of relocating can seem a daunting one. However, beginning a contract with Eurocity can make the whole process much smoother.

Here at Eurocity we will endeavour to make your relocation as smooth as possible. Before you start with us, we will inform you of everything you need to do to make the transfer to working in Brussels. For example, the documentation that you must possess, how to join your Commune, tax information, advice on how to organise medical coverage, and many other little details that will help to make your time in Brussels more enjoyable. This specialised and individual service is what makes Eurocity so unique as an IT consultancy. We are here, in Brussels, to help you.

Before you arrive, we will book you into a hotel close to your new office so there are no worries when you step off the plane or train. We will also reserve you accommodation in one of Brussels' many "Flatotels" if you wish, to enable you to have a base to work from in the first few weeks while you search for a more permanent residence in Brussels. We also have a list of hotels and Flatotels which covers a variety of different prices and locations in Brussels.

Some useful publications when it comes to finding an apartment or house for rent in Brussels are The Bulletin, the weekly English-language magazine which contains a comprehensive list of various types of apartments and houses. Vlan+, the weekly Belgian newspaper detailing literally hundreds of types of accommodation is published every Monday . (Pick one up in the newsagent's for 1.25€ ).

Estate Agents will help reduce the stress of finding a new home, and the cost of their services is borne by the property owner, not by the prospective tenant.
